A morning at Priya Raman’s board, watching a coastline arrive one inlet at a time.

Four hours compressed into seven minutes, which is the wrong ratio for the subject but the right one for a film. She does not speak much while drawing.
What is in it
- 00:45 Setting up: paper, weights, and three inks.
- 02:20 The first inlet, at real speed.
- 04:30 A mistake, and what she does about it.
- 06:10 The finished stretch, and what she left out.
Made with
- One overhead rig
- A 50mm lens
- No artificial light at all
She has since told me the coastline is wrong by about forty metres, and that this is fine.
